Introducing the Laboratory Muffle Furnace, meticulously designed to meet the stringent demands of laboratory environments. This advanced furnace combines state-of-the-art control systems with tried and tested heating element and refractory designs, ensuring consistent and reliable results. The LM Range is elegantly housed in a lightweight, air-cooled cabinet finished with a durable epoxy powder coat, seamlessly blending into any laboratory setting.
Capable of reaching a maximum temperature of 1200ºC and maintaining a continuous temperature of 1150ºC, the LM Range is ideal for a variety of high-temperature applications. The chamber is constructed from 98% Alumina material, supported by lightweight, low thermal mass ceramic bricks, which are precision-machined to accommodate spiral elements made from 145 Rascal material. This design ensures efficient and uniform heating.
The furnace is equipped with a chimney for the effective removal of gaseous contaminants, with an optional large stainless steel chimney available for ashing applications. The removable “hot box” is mounted in a lightweight steel cabinet that uses convection air to maintain a cool outer skin. For operator safety, the door operates on a parallel link system with an internal spring counterbalance, ensuring ease of movement.
The entire cabinet undergoes a seven-stage zinc phosphate anti-corrosion treatment, followed by a durable epoxy powder coat for long-lasting protection. The LM Range features advanced instrumentation, including a digital set, dual display P.I.D. temperature controller with power limiting and auto-tuning capabilities. This system operates solid-state, zero voltage-switching relays to minimize interference with other electronic equipment. Platinum rhodium thermocouples and a completely independent over-temperature circuit provide additional safety and reliability. A door switch isolates the elements to protect the operator.
